Valves: 78E, EF50, EF80, DF91.

Shown above is a Philco 78E.  This is a var u valve with American UX6 base. Height of 117mm. Shown above is a Mullard EF50. Used extensively during WW II.  B9G base in metal case.  6.3v heater. Height of 75mm.

Shown above is a Mullard EF80.  Incredibly common pentode, still vast quantities surviving, perhaps because it was so reliable.  See all the individual internal component parts here  6.3v heater 65mm height. Shown above is a Mullard DF91.  This valve is var u, and has a B7G base.  All glass valve from mid to late 1950s.  Height of 55mm.
