| The first two rectifiers are specialist
television high
voltage types, that would not be encountered in domestic radios. Shown above is a
Mullard HVR2 with B4 base. 4v heater of height 130mm. Max voltage of
6000v but only 3ma Max I. |

The Cossor SU-2150 would have been used in a
'scope for example. This valve has a max voltage of 8000v but only
2ma max I. Using a B4 base with 2v heater but quite substantial
height of 158mm. |
 
| Shown above is a Marconi Osram MU12. This
is the first version of this rectifier, appearing in a "balloon"
glass envelope. B4 base with max I of 120mA and max voltage of
350. Height of 140mm |

Shown above is a Marconi Osram MU14, this is a
similar valve to the adjacent MU12, but in a much later envelope.
This valve also has a max I of 120mA but can handle 500v. B4 base
with height of 127mm. |
