here is the Philips model 581A/15. Another large bakelite receiver, with
enhanced short wave performance whereby many of the short wave bands are
bandspread across the scale. This receiver would be from about 1951, but there
seems to be comparatively few about. The circuit is a 4 valve plus rectifier
design, and it was apparently being developed whilst awaiting the introduction
of new and improved valve ranges since the chassis supports three different
valve base types. As yet un-restored, further commentary to be added in due
course.
