Shown above is a Mullard DK32 frequency
converter. This valve uses an International Octal (I.O.) base with
1.4v heater. Likely to have been used predominantly in battery
portable receivers. Heptode of 112mm height. |

Shown above is a Cossor OM10 frequency
converter. This is a triode hexode with I.O. base and 6.3v heater.
Approx 118mm height. |
Shown above is a Mazda 6C9 utilising a B8A
base. This is a frequency changer with 6.3v heater and is a
triode/heptode. Height of approx 70mm. One of the pins above appears
to having suffered unfortunate forcing into a socket! |

Shown above is a Mullard ECH21 frequency
converter with B8G base. This is a triode heptode with 6.3v heater
and is 78mm height. B8g bases had particularly stubby pins, even
shorter than those of the smaller B8A base. |
